I have an elderly woman of colour at my home. She's confused, and illiterate. She was discharged from Thembisa hospital and left to fend for herself. I cannot leave her on the street. I don't know what to do with her. She doesn't seem to have an ID doc. So she doesn't receive a SASSA grant. So none of the shelters want to take her. At the moment she sleeps on my couch but it can't go on. Being a pensioner myself I can't afford to feed her indefinitely. Can you please advise me?
